Automatic configuration of ECHAM5/MESSy

Per default, ECHAM5/MESSy is compiled with
MPI (where available).
To disable MPI, configure must be called with the
--disable-MPI option (see configure --help for

Informations on pre-installed libraries (and include-files) need
to be provided in the architecture-specific
The required libraries are only compiled within the ECHAM5/MESSy
distribution, if they are not pre-installed on the system.

The following files of the ECHAM5 distribution have been changed:
